happy new year seems so banal.
but banality is the stuff of life
so happy
new year i'm told 2008 is my numerology year
it battles the year of the earth rat
and the gravel in my thoat i wrote
a g cleft on my wrist in black n green
thought of bringing more
music into my life and other new years
resolutions missing old friends including ani
including ankush with whom i feel our dysfunctionality
as poetic family is both cleft and rift i'm sorry
to hear he is still looking for points instead of curves
but we all have our rivers to cross i mourn
this year the sandbox's demise realize my role in that
emblematic of fucking with fate or trying to save
anything and still i know i would have reacted the same
again so this year maybe
a resolution is to delay reaction till the waves stop
but no, that's just silly isn't it when the waves stop
you simply float.
